Uruguay URSEC(Unidad Regulaora de Servicios de Comunicaciones) released Resolution No. 275/021 : Entry into the country without requiring the prior intervention of URSEC of certain devices.
This resolution listed that the following conditioned devices are enable the entry into the country through international postal parcels without requiring the prior intervention of this Regulatory Unit in the corresponding procedure, of the devices that at the same time meet the following conditions:
That they only work in the frequency bands from 2.4 GHz to 2.4835 GHz and/or 5.725 GHz to 5.850 GHz;
That they operate with the family of standards of the 802.11 standard (known as Wifi4, Wifi5 and Wifi6) and/or 802.15 (known as Bluetooth);
Below is a non-exhaustive list of devices that may be included in this situation as long as they operate under the aforementioned technical conditions:
Glasses with wireless headphones
Vacuum cleaner with wireless module
Wireless headphones
Camera with wireless module
Wireless web camera (for PC, notebook)
Above Resolution is only limited to individual end user and personal usage. For the foreign companies/manufacturers are applicable to this resolution.
